Today, experiential agency We’re Magnetic announced the promotion of managing director Jessica Reznick to president and the hiring of Rachel Saunders as global director of consumer research and insights. Both will be based in We’re Magnetic’s New York headquarters.

The agency described Reznick as “a champion of diversity,” being a founding member of Time’s Up Advertising, which just recently held its first meetings across 14 cities to get a better sense of the barriers women currently face in the advertising industry.

Reznick first joined We’re Magnetic in 2014 and is touted for playing “a key role” in developing partnerships with clients such as Sony, Kind Snacks, Facebook, Netflix and The Female Quotient/The Girls Lounge. Previously, she held stints at Creative Artists Agency, 72andSunny and Crispin Porter + Bogusky.

As president, Reznick will continue leading We’re Magnetic’s strategy and building on its partnerships and capabilities. She’ll also be charged with bringing in new talent—first up being Saunders, who was previously insights and strategy director at Cassandra, a research firm that focuses on millennials and Gen Z.

Saunders, who will lead strategic work for We’re Magnetic clients, worked alongside Reznick at Los Angeles-based Creative Artists Agency before she joined Cassandra, where she first served as editor in chief of Cassandra Daily. At Creative Artists Agency, Saunders and Reznick built custom brand strategies for actors, athletes and lifestyle talent. Saunders is also tasked with building out We’re Magnetic’s consumer research and insights practice.

“It’s an exciting time for us at We’re Magnetic as we head into our sixth year and continue to build upon our offering and influence on our clients’ brand building efforts,” Richard Rathe, We’re Magnetic founding partner and COO, said in a statement.

Rathe said he’s been “inspired” by Reznick’s “tremendous dedication and ingenuity” since starting at the agency. “One of her greatest strengths is identifying top-notch talent, and we’re thrilled that she’s brought on Rachel to lead our consumer insights and research efforts,” he added.

Based in New York with outposts in L.A. and London, the independent agency describes itself as an experiential marketing firm that crafts “real-world experiences” for leading brands. We’re Magnetic was founded in 2012 and boasts a wide array of offerings as it acts as both an experiential agency and production shop.
